Projection mapping is often accomplished with numerous types of projectors with differentiating factors such as, short, medium, and long throw optics, brightness, contrast and zoom, among many others.<\/p>\n

While we see a wide spectrum of projectors used over many experiences, it isn\u2019t clear which projectors are most useful, and for what kinds of experiences. There are a number of tools that help inform what projectors to use (projector central<\/a> has a great calculator) depending on the size and distance from the scene, yet we don\u2019t know how these projectors pan out practically in the field.<\/p>\n

Here at PMC, we are setting out to find an answer. We\u2019ve spoken to a number of folks doing projection mapping, but want to collect answers from the broader community.<\/p>\n
